Canelo for me. Trout beat Cotto, then Canelo beat Trout ,nobody would've thought Cotto would beat Canelo. A few bullshit fights from Cotto since then have only papered over that in my book.

This might be correct. It all depends on whether you think Cotto's wins over Rodriguez, Martinez, and Geale, were as mirage, or were real wins over tough opponents. One thing stands out for me. Cotto didn't get touched very much in any of those fights. I wish we could see how he does holding up against a junior middleweight before he faces Canelo, but as for now, I lean Canelo.
I think both guys will have their moments. I see Alvarez' young being the difference down the stretch. Canelo wins a close fight with Cotto in survival mode towards the end or manages to take Cotto out late.

I like Alvarez in this style wise. Finally all that patient boxing plotting and short bursts will pay off late, sap a lot of Cotto mobility. Probably come in bigger, not some gaunt bloated bigger but healthy big who also has pull. Considering I don't like either one now its a damn good fight as long as Cotto doesn't go all entitled diva and insist on riding his gilded battle Unicorn into the ringBoth get marked up considerably before its over also. Puff vs cuts.
Alvarez comfortably. Both are long way behind Pac and Floyd but Alvarez has age and size advantage. Been curious as to what weight this will be at? At middleweight any weight above 154 is going to be a huge advantage to Alvarez. Could this be the 1st MW title fight competed at LMW limits?
