Porter got out boxed by Brook I don't see why a focused Adrian Broner wouldn't be able too. It depends which version of the guy shows up. If the Broner that fought Maidana shows up Porter beats him. But I'd the Broner that easily out boxed Molina shows up Broner picks him apart. Porter needs to fight like he did in the Alexander fight. I think it's a 50/50 fight. But I'll go with Broner.

The catchweight bs and 155 same night max is a huge detriment to Porter. He relies on that bullish strength and that's why its there. He will be lucky not to resemble a drawn out Geale but that's where the comparison ends. Broner is a sucker for right hands and in the process of altering his style. If he sticks with that horse-shoe wiiide stance on flat feet trying to pot shot I think Porter can beat him up. He did show a nice jab AND a mobile backfoot..finally... with Molina though in reality Molina threw very little and moved like he was wearing concrete trunks. Its a damn good fight but the unnecessary catchweight again adds an asterisk for me personally. Broner looks like a blinged out giant potato in between fights and its comical for a guy who has failed weight before and literally told network execs 'I don't give a fuck if your show is canceled' to be given a crutch like this.

You prepare for the rehydration clause by properly managing your weight. Floyd doesn't blow up and Guerrero only gained 5 for the Thurman fight. And if you don't like the terms of the contract, don't take the fight. If you get railroaded on the terms of the deal, blame your manager.

Floyd is in the minority, he has made his way up to welterweight and probably used to walk around lighter than he weighs in now. Guerrero as well was a lightweight not that long ago, they aren't the norm for welters.

Same day weigh ins may well be a good idea, but as long as they don't have them, the vast majority of fighters rehydrate well over the limit they are fighting at. Just seems like this is in place strictly to limit Porter. What if he struggles to get down to 145 but does everything he can, it couldn't be easy to be sure he would also gain no more than 10 pounds after cutting weight, especially when it's something he's never done before?

Porter should have rolled up the clause and told Broner to shove it up his arse. But he couldn't, he needed the 'big' fight and settled on the opponent role. The deck was stacked. Broner is the last to be afforded such nonsense just as he told Escobedo to fook off..and the fans..by blowing weight not once but twice and coming in 147 for a jr lightweight fight. Forfeiting the the belt in the process. It's a charade.

Was watching a few interviews tonight with Ken porter he's super confident he was calling out mayweather to put up some big money on broner saying the porters will match any and all bets so put your money up big brother lol it was quite funny. Can't wait for this fight think it's a real even fight.

Its getting to the point now though where these "contracts" on an individual fight basis are railroading the sport. Now maybe thats Haymons motive but its not as if these two are not the same size give or take a few pounds. Lets see any of these people make weight the morning of the fight. That would solve all the bullshit in one move. I mean this has reduced a fringe contenders contest to a meaningless joke. These clowns are going to have to start naming some of these new divisions soon and stop calling them catchweights.

The conflict here is that Porter and Broner have the same adviser/manager.

I was talking about this fight this morning and I said I fancy Broner to win if he can keep it to a boxing match, I'm not 100% about it though, it could go either way but I would be slightly favouring Broner

Broner to be brutalized and may quit on his stool by the 10th.

I think the rehydration clause is a pile of crap. How is a fighter even supposed to prepare for that, and what happens if Porter is over 155 fight night, it's off? Assuming he handles it, I think it's an even fight, but that's a big ask as it seems like a clear handicap.

Wouldn't it be a riot if Broner came in heavy

I originally thought Porter but the weight won't help him any.

Has the potential to be an exciting fight. I think Broner wins.

If porter rushes him he can win.
