Floyd is in the minority, he has made his way up to welterweight and probably used to walk around lighter than he weighs in now. Guerrero as well was a lightweight not that long ago, they aren't the norm for welters.

Same day weigh ins may well be a good idea, but as long as they don't have them, the vast majority of fighters rehydrate well over the limit they are fighting at. Just seems like this is in place strictly to limit Porter. What if he struggles to get down to 145 but does everything he can, it couldn't be easy to be sure he would also gain no more than 10 pounds after cutting weight, especially when it's something he's never done before?
