Quigg is fighting the Binman's leftovers and Frampton a Mexican road sweeper. Nice.
The fight is a big money maker because of Sky PPV. Frampton can fight roadsweepers in Belfast and make as much as he'd make from a stadium fight against Quigg. The PPV is the crucial thing and Hearn has a lock on it, and he's using that fact to maximise his position. And you can't really blame him for doing that. You also can't blame McGuigan for turning it down. But it's not a duck.
Exactly. Barry can't compete with Matchroom so we have no fight. He is Frampton's manager as well as his promoter. Even Frank Warren said he's nuts to refuse the deals he was offered
He may well be but he obviously feels £1.5 million isn't fair. Maybe part of signing with Haymon is to give them more leverage when negotiating with Hearn because it's the money fight for both fighters and should be made but Barry wants what he thinks is a fair amount and it's his job as manager to get the best deal for his fighter. I don't think the fight is worth anything like twelve million though.
