Just keep repeating it because the truth is what fans want to believe. Just like team Pac did for years others will do. But,like then, the factual numbers don't lie. Ward did good numbers, that is a fact. Watch for the excuses why the facts don't matter to follow....
HBO dropped the ball on Ward's promotion. They can get it back, but they really dropped the ball on this. The Goosen promotional hold up made it much worse. In fact, if you look at it from an economic perspective, the Goosen hold up could have been used to raise the demand for Andre Ward- but it had not.

Ward needs to go on a world tour. Fuck American fans for right now. He needs to go on a world tour, and his next 3 or 4 fights should be in places like London, Germany, Japan and China. He can get some fights and draw a few crowds there. Shit, even take a chance with Mexico and France. Who knows?

Additionally, he needs to go on Oprah, at the very least. Cant have extraordinary talent just wasted without the proper push from the media.

I would suggest Oprah, Good Morning America, The View, Ellen, etc... just go on a media blitz. ESPN too. Give the people a chance to love him and little more.
I'm not quite sure that's possible. If only for the very same reason hbo "dropped the ball" on wards promotion. Who wants him on their show and for what reason? I'm sure he has the positivity of an potential guest... but he was a fighter with 2 or 3 world titles, on the mythical pound for pound list, beat a light heavy champ* but wont fight out of his own backyard unless its at wembly in front a massive crowd, fighting a guy he already beat decisively eventhough he just came off a 2 year layoff and his last 2 fights were against no hopers. We're talking about a world champ whose acting like a regional champ.

Andre got his money through Roc..and I guess i'm happy for him. But I don't read forbes, so until the big contract landing primadonnas that feel like they made it to the top of the sport by way of their paycheck and not their performances, are ready to make statements. They don't matter a whole lot to me. I would imagine there are lot of people out there that feel the same way. So if ward wants to go on a promo world tour he can but he either has to push the envelope by campaigning as perhaps the "Anti Floyd" or a warrior who on behalf on Roc is going to single-handedly put haymon out of business by taking on and beating any PBC fighters within a division of him... (What a son of God without a crusade) ..

He's either going to have to choke down some humble pie, fight a lot and put some fighters down in action packed fights and make everyone come to see him or stay on the path hes going and hope people come around and warm up to variety shows and his paid boxing lessons on BET. It appears hes content to count his money and do the latter as he becomes the Super Middle version of Michelchewski.
