Default Impossible to stop the flow of illegal guns, just like drugs

Banning guns will only hurt the legal gun owners, the law-abiding gun owners like some members of this forum, like my father also, for example. My father had over 100 guns in his collection: he had 4 or 5 revolvers .38 caliber, etc., 3 or 4 of the 9mm pistols, he had several Colt .45 pistols, he even had some old Flintlocks from the 1800s. As for rifles he had everything from Civil War to Vietnam makes and models, and he had the bullet-making equipment to produce his own ammunition for most of his guns.

He had several M1 Carbines that the South Vietnamese used in the war, a Winchester "pump action" shot gun, a German Luger, and atleast 3 Browning automatic rifles with high-powered scopes. I can't even remember all the rifles he had. It was like 100 kinds. He had a license to own every one of them. I must have shot 15 or so of the rifles over the years, and about 5 or 6 of the pistols too.

Illegal guns are flowing across the border from Mexico, El Salvador, and lately Brazil. These are the guns that are mowing down thousands of people a year in Chicago and Los Angeles and Cleveland and El Paso and Phoenix, etc. It is not possible once you have a market (like with crack cocaine or heroin) to intercept this stuff, there is too much money in it.

Takoing away law-abiding citizens' guns is NOT the answer.

    Brockton for president.

I live in a nice part of the world where there's no gun violence but MANY people own guns for hunting and target practice on the range.

It's funny, all these anti-gun people are so... um... anti gun. But who do they call when there's trouble? Guys with guns. Obama is against guns but who protects him and his kids when they go out? Guys with guns.

Yeah right, before that it was Clinton who was against guns, before that it was Carter.

And when Jefferson the first democratic republican ran for president...he was called anti God who wanted to rid the people of their guns.
    Didn't happen.
Same with the first democrat Andrew Jackson who was depicted in cartoons as trampling on the constitution. Different name...Same claim
Federalist, nationalist, Whig, republican, conservative, libertarian, tea partier give it any name...they still use the same tactics dating back to the early 1800s.

Obama ain't anti gun, we got six years of what gun restrictions, revocation to prove it?

Hmmm I guess you're right! Plus he's from Chi-town so you know he's capable with handguns.

I wonder how many times he had to pull out a heater on some fool before he went into politics.

Obama is vehemently anti gun. He has repeatedly stated his support for the Australian and UK models of creating a national registry and then confiscation. Under his direction gun manufacturers have been targeted with a variety of financial laws in an attempt to deny them credit and to drive them out of business.
That we have not been stripped of our liberty, as listed in the Bill of Rights, is a testament to the fact that the American people, despite the lies and fallacies spread by the various groups funded by Bloomberg, do not want to lose their liberty and vote accordingly. With any luck, Obama, Hilary and Bloomberg will all die suddenly, Rand Paul will become president and appoint 5 or 6 Supreme Court judges that respect the Constitution.

    @ Brock.Yeah you're right.

Banning guns or placing another law in the books is purely political posturing.

I consider the root of the problem: are the manufacturers of guns. There is no such thing as bullet trees or gun vines.

Every single nation that Is poor as fuck, can't grow food, find running water, but they all have guns.
Ten plus years since Iraq invasion and them suckas still got ammunition. how?

Bosnians and Serbs back in the 1990s gunning each other down. Hutsis and Tutus gunning each other down, where do the broke ass poor mass no resource having nations find these guns and seemingly endless supply of ammunition?

And here in America, one can order guns online like they are ordering a Damn friggin'pizza.

In Wisconsin ....badger guns ended up in countless shootings...most horific was the Viet kid who shot up the college campus a few years back. He got his shit online at badger.

Obama's law talk gives the hateful people of America a chance to bypass discussing the true tragedy of lawful Christians getting gunned down in churches.

Gun owners shouldn't allow Obama's rhetoric to drown out the people who attended that church and are now mourning the lost...only to see their tragedy turned political.
