That we have not been stripped of our liberty, as listed in the Bill of Rights, is a testament to the fact that the American people, despite the lies and fallacies spread by the various groups funded by Bloomberg, do not want to lose their liberty and vote accordingly. With any luck, Obama, Hilary and Bloomberg will all die suddenly, Rand Paul will become president and appoint 5 or 6 Supreme Court judges that respect the Constitution.
Here we go with trying to make the statement about a militia baring arms as equal to manufacturing them with undeterred access to the whole world.
Especially the poor nations.it's what they need more of right right? Let's not even talk about how they keep getting them.
They as in all poor nations regardless of race.
As if every nation deems America's right to bare arms as their own personal creed.
As if gun manufacturing is Jesus's own model for making a living.
As if these manufacturers keep Americans working...ok....

The right to bare arms and manufacture them is not even a sensible comparison.

Everything you wrote is a conservative's argument. Everything. Your right to think that way.
But that don't make it the right way.
Slim, what was the definition of a Militia at the time. It was any person 17 to 40 something they said 40 something because that was around the average life span back then. It does not say a militia needs to be backed and trained by the government. We had People like the green mountain boys and southerners who formed civilian militias to fend off the English, quite successfully I might add. The word militia in the bill of rights is not specifically limited to groups but to individuals who can then form militias which as several of the founding fathers pointed out May need to defend themselves from the government. The constitution does not say the government must supply these weapons and back when the bill off rights were written gunsmiths were selling arms to the populace. This is what was gong on when the bill of rights were created and congress nor the president made any move to alter that after the adoption of the constitution.
