This kind of discussion came up a lot because of Floyd over the years, but I'll reiterate the fact that I am 100% supportive of guys demanding extra testing.

At the end of the day, in the game of boxing a fighter is ultimately responsible for his own safety. The commission is supposed to look out for fighter safety, but history shows they've often done a piss-poor job at doing so. We don't know 100% who's using PEDs and who isn't, but what we do know is that the standard drug testing they use has a history of being COMPLETELY USELESS to any drug user with half a brain. Hell, even Mike Tyson admittedly cheated the drug tests because he was a cocaine addict. We've had Tommy Morrison come forward and admit he was using steroids for most of his career, yet was never caught. We've had guys like Evander Holyfield, Shane Mosley, Gamboa, ect piss clean every fight out, but the FBI found their names on receipts when they busted their steroid labs. Hell, look at what Lance Armstrong managed to do.

Bottom line: if you're a CLEAN fighter, and you have any pull or leverage whatsoever, you should be demanding Olympic-style drug testing. I don't think it's cowardly or dishonourable in any way to demand that your opponent follow the rules of boxing and not use PEDs.
