Immigration is a big issue here as it is in your countries. I think the wall would be a good start. It's at least a deterrent. The cartels and snakeheads build tunnels to smuggle drugs, humans and weapons in so no matter what you do they will find a way to beat it. Still, we can't really tackle immigration until the border is secure. We all here of Mexicans strolling a cross the border but loads of People make the journey from further down South America. They are regularly robbed, raped, beaten and killed. I don't know if knowing the US border is more secure will stop people from making this journey but it appears to me something has to be done. I'm all for letting people in the country, just do it legally.

I've just watched Jurrasic World, a wall didn't stop the dinosaurs and it won't stop the Mexicans.

Just take the UK approach, when you find them give them some state benefits and encourage them to breed so you can give them a bigger house.
