Mayweather should be looking at taking away "0's".
That means Kell Brook, Keith Thurman, hell maybe even Danny Garcia.
Khan is yesterday's news.

Floyd has been a safety first fighter both in the ring and in his choices (for the most part) for 16 years. He's at the end of his time and has noticeably slid. He's on the verge of tying Mariano's record and perhaps overtaking it. He's not going to chose to take a real risk or be concerned with someones 0.
He's in a bit of a quandary though because he will be remembered more for his 49th and perhaps 50th more then anything he did in the past so he may be forced to crap on my theory I suppose.

For sure. Thats who I thought it would be but the calenders don't match now. Porter could be ready for September. I think if he takes a guy like Porter then he's going for 50. I have to admitt that Floyd is all about the show so my theory that he goes out like a lamb may not be valid. The pressure here to go out like a lion has got to be the most he's had in his career.
You know how life is. Remembered for the last mistake. In many ways to historians and others his 18 years of being a pro and his domination will pale in comparison to how he goes out.
Floyd needs to go out undefeated. Even if he lost his last fight at damn near 40, people would use that as a way to say his whole career was nonsense. If you're gonna play the villain you need to keep winning, Broner is feeling the repercussions of that now.

I think Floyd will fight Khan because he named 2 fighters that are trained by Khan's trainer. He is teasing khan.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
This is a narrative that was sold to the willing believers. But it simply isn't true. Floyd offered Shane the fight "keep running your mouth and I'll kick your ass before i kick your bosses ass" back in 2007. All witnesses say Shane promptly stopped talking because "he didn't want to interfere with Oscars fight". Fuck that, he backed away from a man, a boxer, challenging him when it was by far the biggest fight available to him. Before that Floyd offered him 6 million after he fought Vargas and Shane said that he had a vacation err a toothache and fought 1 month later for less than 2 million. Floyd has wanted Shane since his 2nd year as a pro. Truth is Shane got the fight when he did because he finally accepted it.

I don't think Brook or his people want a Mayweather fight.
Let's face it, he's just won a belt and with the handpicked opponents on home soil that he's likely to face, he'll probably keep that belt for a while and make a lot of money. He's just fought Frankie Gavin for fook sake. He isn't acting like a guy who is interested in cleaning up the division. He'll be protected and avoid credible opponents all the way.
Mayweather beats him if they fight, no question. There's nothing in it for Brook. The payday won't really be that big because it's not that big a fight and he suffers a loss just as the hype around him is building.
It's more likely that he'll be happy to see Floyd retire and will spend a few years fighting stiffs for easy money until a big payday comes his way. Ironically, the biggest fight of Brook's career will probably be against Khan.
a common misunderstanding by boxing fans is that world champions need to fight the best of the best every fight
brook had only fought a few weeks before he fought gavin against his mandatory
and gavin wasnt their first choice
who should brook fight and where should he fight them? i dont think the khan fight isnt happening because of brook
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend
It's not a common misunderstanding at all. It's just a reflection of the joke that is modern boxing.
Brook doesn't have to fight the best in his division because the best in his division have their own worthless "world title" belts that allow them to also fight nobodies for several years. Brook's mandatory was in no way, shape or form the best of the potential challengers in his weight division, so let's not pretend that was a meaningful fight.
He's going to spend the next couple of years fighting bums in his own backyard, hype the shit out of a fight with Khan and make himself a nice big wedge of cash while never really facing a serious challenge at all. I'm sure he would fight Khan tomorrow because he probably genuinely believes he can beat him, but Brook and Hearn don't want any part of someone like Mayweather. He's got far too much to lose.
Just like anybody else, if Brook gets offered the Floyd fight, even in Vegas, He would take it in a heartbeat . The same reasoning applies to every fighter out there.
1. it pays way more than any other imaginable fight.
2. even if he loses , he does Zero damage to his career, his rating or his future earning potential. he probably wouldn't even lose his title if he lost!
it's a major win-win for every fighter out there, that's why they're all queuing up to state their case, and that is why Khan is way down the "deserving" list imo.
