"Only the Strong Survive" --- when did this become "wrong"?

Nothing wrong with helping those who need it. We are not Spartans, we don't cull the herds. A society can in part be judged on how it takes care of its sick and disabled. It is a difficult line, some will always want to take the easy way out. Let us not kill off those who need a hand. I think my signature may not help things but I really do not see myself as the moral PC guardian that you make me out to be. I can't stand sychophancy. Maybe because I had to learn the lesson quite early I am not at all worried about standing out like a sore thumb or disagreeing with the general consensus. I don't have a problem with going against the tide or making an unpopular point. I haven't really fallen out with any British posters (other than Miles who is a very singular individual) because I think they can pick out the content without inferring the intention that many others don't. For somebody like you who makes his living by speaking different languages that may surprise you, but I really don't give a toss what you or other people think of me or whether they are politically correct or not. This is a forum at the end of the day and one in which everybody agreed 100% would be as dull as dishwater.

Then why post threads as though you were writing headlines for the Daily Mail ? We are in this country (Great Britain) being ruled by a bunch of old Etonians and this is the philosophy with which they are tearing apart Britain and the society that our fathers and grandfathers fought to defend. How do you measure strength ? I do not even have half the will power of the love of my life who is paralyzed down one side or a tenth of the strength of one of my friends who despite being so twisted with cerebral palsy that he can not use his arms or hands is so determined to live independently that he uses one foot to propel his wheelchair backwards through the city we both live in. Not an electric wheelchair, a manual one, and the government I live under announced the withdrawal of the independent living allowance he gets, just last week. He could end up in a home. This is a guy who has been a European councillor, has run for MP, acted in a TV drama and choreographed dance troops. We are in an ideological war where "Only the strong survive" has been used as the justification of retaining privilege of birth, inherited wealth and the trampling of people's right to make a meaningful contribution to society.
