    Primo Carnera

Only received a fight purse of .... $16,379

For his Title Winning effort against Champion - Jack Sharkey.

This was the 'lowest ever' fight purse for a World Heavyweight Title Challenger.

Primo received 10% of the 'Net' Gate Receipts.
    Gross Receipts ..... $198,259
    Net Receipts .........$163,379

Immediately after winning the Heavyweight Championhip - Manager > Luigi 'Louis' Soressi
and American Advisor- Bill Duffy set up a Boxing Exhibition Tour.

The 'new' Heavyweight Champion made $65,000 {more} during his 14-Day Boxing Exhibition
Tour than his 'measly' Championship Fight Purse of $16,379.

It was reported that Primo pulled in over $80,000 for his July/August 1933 tour of the Northeast.

The 'well-dressed' and spiffy World Heavyweight Champion - Primo Carnera and Entourage
visit Scranton, Pennsylvania on July 24, 1933.

    Monday ~ September 3, 1933

World Heavyweight Champion was in Hollywood, California >

Filming a movie "The Prizefighter and the Lady"

    With >
    Myrna Loy
    Max Baer
    Jack Dempsey

Primo Carnera was paid $25,000 for his part. Primo was in Hollywood for 1-Week filming.

Max Baer, who was a 'co-star' in the movie, received $3000 per Week as his acting fee.

Reports were, that Primo and Max were 'lightly sparring' in the Ring for nearly 5-Hours on
    Monday, September 3rd while filming.

Later, Primo also sparred in a 'live' 2-Round Exhibition with Max Baer while out in California.

The 'observers' said that Primo had the slight-edge, as his left-hand was the difference.
