Yes, I'm so ignorant /sarcasm... So, ignorant that vitali was winning on the scorecard before Lennox hit Vitali's sensitive face and the fight had to be stopped because of the bleeding. Yet, even when Vitali could only see out one eye, he was still winning on the score card... Damn... After the fight was over, Vitali challenged Lennox... Wheres Lennox at?

    I don't respect cowards.

    agreed!
i think its fair to say that its not the best....but people that are bieng totally unfair about it are expecting way to much and obviously either have not seen the lesser known yet very talented undercard fighters... or have simply not heard of them and are saying its shiz for the sake of it.

you cant argue that its not fair game for lennox to win when your making mr klit sound like a puffter and saying he has a 'sensitive' face... well tough tits init!!
thats boxing.... it wasnt controversial that he was cut bad... dont make excuses just because lennox worked his cut well!!
you should respect all boxers... let alone all humans!!
    he was smart ...simple as....
will you fight vitali? let alone will you fight lennox?

So, if lennox wasn't a coward and could cut vitali so easy the next fight. Than why not take the big pay check if vitali is so easy to beat? Obviously the fight was a challenge for lennox, or he'd have no problem taking the fight again.

Personally I think all PPV's are a con job by the big wigs (Promo companies, HBO-SHOWTIME; etc...). PPV has ruined the popularity of boxing. Only the die hards will pay the $25 or $50 to watch the fights (and I appreciate wacko for doing it every week ). But for me it isnt worth it to hopefully watch a good fight. There are the rare fights that are going to be a candadate for FOY (ie Pacman/Morales) but unfortunately they too rare any more.

He just wanted to retire. He has plenty of money. Marciano only had 8 defenses don't give me that. Foreman dropped all his belts instead of facing mandatories after he beat Moorer. Louis had bigtime money problems and everyone knows that Ali stuck around to long.

Lewis would have been 39 by the time for a rematch. He more then earned the right to retire.

And look at the other side of the equation, Vitali is retired at a much younger age yet he will only come out of retirement for Lewis. If Rahman was such a bum, why wouldn't he take the PPV money and face him?

    THATS WHAT I THOUGHT. Please.....

Where do you get all this Lewis is a coward stuff...Bowe threw his title away not to face him...Lennox steeped in and beat all challengers in his reign...His two losses he rematched so he proves there he wasn't scard...His chin was questionable yes but both times his rematch wins went all the way in his favor...He dismantaled Rahman....He beat Tyson...Not a prime Tyson but Lewis is also older than Tyson and while mike sat in club Fed Lewis defended his belt....He fought Klitschko...Vitaly was a wreck...Both were tired...Vitaly ahead on the cards yes but Lewis was also starting to control the fight ( An ugly performence on both sides)...Lewis did what few have the common sense to do retire with his wits about him go out with a win and the title on his waist....He needed no money so the payday ment nothing....
Klitschko was a fine fighter to take over the division...He feared no one...And was getting better..He hit like a sledgehammer and was improving defensively. He could have reigned for quite sometime...I am not a big fan of either but facts are facts...You can not take what the man did away no matter how much you would like to....And you can not try to belittle Klitschko for pulling out when injured...Why risk the rest of his life in pain every day?? Try to treat it now...He has money...Held the world title...The guy has a PHD for gosh sake...Lighten up buddy...
There are a lot of very knoweldgeable guys on these boards and everyone here knows there stuff.....all the ranting in the world wont change that.....

I'm about to get rid of my hbo channels anyways, they show crap on hbo and the only thing I look forward on hbo is boxing. And for all the people spending money on the hbo channels, we don't even get that much boxing on hbo anymore. We get MEET THE FOCKERS replayed over and over again... No, almost every boxing fight goes on hbo paperview. Pathetic!!! Now, I know this is the part where rich people will come on to my topic and bad mouth me, even though I'm a paying customer for a shitty service called HBO that re-shows every show each hour.
Without that shitty service...you wouldn't be seeing great fights & we wouldn't be hearing this crying.

The card's got more than Barrera on it...in case you hadn't noticed.

It's worth the cash...but that's my opinion...& in the end...it's probably about as valueable to HBO as yours is...& you know why?

    Because...in the end...your'e payin.

Not worthy of a PPV? Damn right! Nothing's worthy of a pay per view! In a perfect world this stuff would all be on boradcast!

I don't enjoy shelling out to see a fight but give them credit here: this was probably the best card top to bottom to come out in a while.

As for the main event, it was competitive and contriversial the first time and had the makings of a historically significant action fight.

    /worth it this time
