Can't believe how many of you bailed on the Crolla fight to watch Frampton.

If it wasn't for his story and recovery, I don't think he would have been fighting for a world title. Give him his due, he's made a great comeback, but in terms of longer term prospects Frampton has a lot more to offer on the big stage compared to Crolla.

He had a world title shot before the attack but the attack ruined it. Crolla vs. Abril was supposed to happen on 23rd Jan this year but because he was attacked the fight was cancelled. His shot had nothing to do with the story. Quite frankly, he earned it.

He was radio today and said it was a close fight not a robbery but should have got the decision. He did not want to take a warm up which was offered to him and wants another shot after a rest. Seemed a good bloke on.

But Frampton was in a non title, catchweight fight. I am happy I recorded Frampton and watched Crolla. He kept Perez more than honest throughout and without the massive ego that Frampton and Barry have. Listening an Old Pro like Mcguigan dismiss Quigg, who is already a better fighter than he was, is pretty nauseating to be honest.

I don't think Frampton's got a massive ego at all - granted McGuigan's patter is getting a bit tired now and potentially will start working against Team Frampton if he keeps it up given the British public wants the fight desperately. But he can't be seen to be giving anything away to Hearn in public though can he? And to be fair both Frampton and McGuigan acknowledged how good Quigg's performance was after their own fight. Based on Saturday night's action all roads must lead to a Frampton/Quigg showdown.........

I am glad that they gave him props after the fight because recently Barry has been so eager to deflect criticism that he had started to dismiss Quigg as a challenge or worthy opponent. I am sure Carl would fight anyone at the drop of a hat as would Scott, so the promoters/managers need to just get on with it behind closed doors and make some money for their fighters. Either can still be a force in the division, even after being beaten.
