Socialist should be an evil word everywhere, but that's fine. The term "Liberal" has been coopted by the Democrat Party who ironically are some of the whiniest close minded bigots in the world. Given the REAL definition of the word and it's connotation of being for maximum individual freedoms, of course it's good....but you must understand the people in America who call themselves "liberal" are the same people who called themselves "Progressive" and those "Progressives" were and are horrible people and just like I said whiney, close minded, bigots.
