Yet some Ward fans are saying GGG is ducking the self-proclaimed Son of God.

Then he can fight GGG at 160. He made Chad Dawson fight him at 168.

Why did he demand a catchweight of 172 for his fight with Smith?

    Good point.

Ward said that he asked for the catchweight at 172 for Smith so that he test the waters at light heavy, to see how he felt. So it is a valid point to ask why he wanted a super middle to fight at 172 and an actual light heavy in Dawson to come down to 168 ? Where is the consistency? Ward is being given a free pass and Golovkin is being jumped on for what exactly ? Where are the concrete offers he has turned down ? Considering that the guy who negotiated a fee for the lineal title from a shot Martinez actually flat out refused to entertain fighting at middle weight, on live television, it seems people are traveling an awful long way to somehow blame GGG for avoiding Ward.
