I thought it only fair to make this thread, since there is an opposite one already in existence....
For record, I hope Fury beats Wlad. The HW division needs some life and interest pumped back into it. Deontay is taking a bit too long to fully develop, and his last fight against Eric Molina left a little to be desired. So here comes this new challenger to Wlad... talking sh*t and putting on a good show. Let's see how he does. I'll say one thing: If fights were won by how arrogantly sure their fans on this forum were.... Fury would've already won on the strength of Ross's proclamations. Fortunately, Fury and Wlad are going to have to settle it in the ring. That is... unless Wlad backs out, which again... Fury mega-fan Ross is claiming Wlad might do. In summary... Fury has the height, the size, the power... to challenge Wlad as an equal, at least physically. There are questions about his chin... but to be fair, Wlad's chin isn't exactly world-class either. But what happens if, as expected, Wlad beats Fury?
If Wlad does indeed beat Fury, it damn well better be with the following conditions:
1. It better be a good fight. If Wlad tries any of this horsesh*t fouling and grappling stuff with Fury, Fury had better know enough to not allow any of it.
2. (And this is a major one) Fury had better come to fight. Better to go out on his shield, instead of as a whimpering pile of crap, as countless previous opponents... most of which have talked trash before the fight... have gone out.
I may be jaded... but there's been too long a list of crap opponents who have come into the ring only to lay down at Wlad's feet, cowering in fear. Fury has several months to talk all the sh*t he wants before the fight. Come fight night he'd better deliver, or at least get knocked out trying. If not, a world of sh*t is going to rain down on his head (and Ross's).
The funny thing is, if Fury all of sudden turns timid the night of the fight, wary of Wlad's punch, we could have another Wlad-Sultan fiasco on our hands... as Wlad will surely be overly cautious of Fury's own power. If that happens, everyone will forget how bad Floyd-Pac was.
