I think the card overall was exciting.
Paez Jr. is far more skilled that what he showed, wether or not the plan was to make it an exciting fight and trade thats a different story. Paez uses his waist movements and lateral movements to make his opponents miss I saw none of that last night. In the end it was a close fight but Paez won the fight. Rd. 1 was Campos, rd. 2 was Paez, rd. 3 was Paez, rd. 4 was even. Thats how I saw it.
The Barrios-Guzman fight was insane I love how Guzman work to the body and and just stand there to trade. Barrios never went down which says a lot about Barrios, His heart was there but Guzman was much stronger and worked more efficent through out the night. I personally DONT think a rematch should happen, Guzman should move on to other names out there Humberto Soto, Alex Arthur, Oscar Larios, Gary St. Clair, Robbie Peden. Theres plenty out there.
Gonzalez-Vasquez IMO lived up to the expectations, I thought Gonzalez longer reach and skills would give him the advantage, it started off that way but soon Vasquez realised that when Gonzalez through the right instead of bringing it straight back Gonzalez would bring it back slowly and would not bring it up high, which is how Vasquez managed to land his punches and he took advantage of that dropping Ginzalez with his right. Vasquez has ring smarts and more then that he has POWER.
Israel Vasquez vs. Somsak Sithchatchawal Anyone ? ? ?that would be a good fight.
MAB-Juarez I've already expressed how I felt about that masterpiece.
