I actually think this is a wind up. I mean, Berto? Is this a ploy just to get people in his camp to look at the things his trainer, Virgil Hunter does. In light of preparing for Kahn? I know he has a supposed history of that.
Yeah okay, admittedly I must be dazed and confused but it just makes no sense to put Berto on PPV
I guess I'll watch the fight. On YouTube.

Even the flomos thought it was a joke when Floyd first mentioned Berto or Mayfield. The most important part was when Floyd said - "whoever I fight I make $35 million."
The dopes that buy his fights in the hope of seeing him chinned probably still will. The dopes that buy his fights because they think he's TBE probably still will. The dopes that buy his fights because of his bling, birds and motors probably still will.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
This is no different than these big name, past their prime Hollywood actors who demand large sums for medicre movies.
I saw "The Equalizer" the other night with Denzel Washington. Dull and predictable....

Mayweather wants an “entertaining fight” one where he can tee off, go on the offensive, look sensational and take risks with little worry - to keep up interest in his bouts before he goes for one more to surpass Rocky Marciano’s undefeated record of 49-0. An out-of-contract Mayweather can then name his price to fight a decent opponent on his terms. Berto becomes less of a contest, and more of a tune-up, to a record-breaking 50th win.
Mayweather is a master at marketing himself![]()

50-0 wont be a record, several fighters have surpassed that. Chavez was something like 87-0 before his first draw.

That's right. I thought Chris John was on track to get to Marciano first. It is the holy grail of boxing for whatever reason. It appears to be easily beaten when you see a guy like Wilder spin of 34 in a short time or Tyson fight 25 in a year or something but the catch is the retirement. Ask Joe Blow on the street or Jane Blow who Marciano is. Everyone knows who he is because of the 49/0. Its taught in history class early on this continent. They don't tell you about Young Stribling who fought 55 times in 1 year and went undefeated or Greb that went 47 or 49 in one year w/o a loss. And they certainly don't scrutinize Marciano's run.

@walrus will buy it
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Finito retired at 51-0 so I don't know what record Marciano holds that people keep talking about?

Everyone needs to calm down
Who the fuck you want Floyd to take on next ? Cancer ?
Look - He just fought and beat Pac-Man. The supposed Flippino bad-ass, who was meant to be this big tsunami, this big hurricane and he was gonna go in there and give Floyd the fight of his life. Now don't me wrong. Floyd did not stomp all over Pac-Man, well, because that's not Floyd style, but he did what Floyd does, nullify his opponent, stop them from hitting him and then countering him. I also don't think that Floyd is TBE. So I'm not Floyd's dick like that.
But FFS Floyd has been fighting elite guys for 18 years. He's the only guy left from his USA 96 Olympic team that's still fighting !!
Cant he just have one easy fight ? And actually is Berto that bad ?
Kell Brook fought Frankie Gavin last time out. Amir Khan fought Chris Algieri last time out. Keith Thurman fought Luis Collazo last time out. But I'd rate Andre Berto a better fighter than Gavin, Algieri and Collazo.
All those people saying this is a hard sell, need to shut the fuck up, come Sep 12th, you know you'll be buying it, or going to one those free streaming sites to watch it.
Even though it's true what Mike Tyson said of money, that, "Floyd's a great fighter whose never been involved in a great fight"
People will still buy it.
And who knows ? I reckon Berto's reading all these comments about this being a mismatch, and him being a no-hoper and a nobody and he's probably at this moment breaking rocks. chopping trees, training like his life depended on it.
And maybe, Mayweather is thinking "I just beat Pac-Man. I ain't got nothing to prove. All I have to do is show up"
And who knows ? That workerd for Douglas against Tyson. So why not Berto against Money ?
