I can't remember the last fight where Floyd stepped on the gas and went for the knockout. Maybe the Ortiz fight? Floyd always talks about beating the other guy down and scoring a stoppage and then fights like a pacifist trying to make sure NEITHER guy gets hit too often. Great fighter. ATG fighter. Not very exciting though...

Floyd always talks about beating the other guy down and scoring a stoppage and then fights like a pacifist trying to make sure NEITHER guy gets hit too often. Great fighter. ATG fighter. Not very exciting though...

He never really commits for a KO, but he will step it up in spurts and throw some big leather to chin-check the opponent and see if a stoppage is possible. I know he loaded up big on a few shots he threw at Pac that never really had the desired effect, so I guess he just decided to close up shop.
