Floyd also left Ray Robinson off the list as a deliberate slight. Its an attempt to distance himself from the fighter people have him in constant competition with for the best ever title. A tad petty, but look who we're talking about here. He based his number #1 selection is based off of earnings and beating more champions. Does anyone in there right mind think he remotely compares to a Jones Jr, Hearns or Whitaker as far as ring/ big fight accomplishment We live in the era of everybody gets a star championships and trinkets. Have you ever seen a fighter that has won a belt say I don't want that rubbish, i'm not a real champ. There are currently dozens of "world" champions - who clearly weren't the best in their division - dining out on the fact they won a silly belt. The record books will forever list them as a champion.
