Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Yeah.... a one-dimensional fighter who lost 3 out of 45 fights his entire career, beating countless previously undefeated fighters, some future HOF'ers, and broke the heart of many a Trinidad hater. But thanks for that bit of wisdom. Now I know that in the future, I'll get my boxing knowledge from you, Rocco, and Beanflicker.

LMAO! So getting outboxed by an ATG like RJJ equals being one-dimensional??
Damn! You three don't cease to amaze me.
Don't let the fact that Trinidad was near the end of his career and faced RJJ at 170 pounds stand in the way of your assessment.
But let's look at Trinidad's 3 losses, shall we? (By the way... this was supposed to be a Floyd fan... but I'll happily discuss Trinidad instead).
Bernard Hopkins - future HOF'er
Winky Wright - borderline and probable HOF'er
Roy Jones Jr. - future HOF'er
Not too shabby, right?
You're right.
Oscar isn't a future HOF'er. He's a current HOF'er.
Funny you should mention Whitaker.
Can we say Whitaker was old and coked up when he fought Fishnet Boy also?
Or are you going to claim he was in his prime?
BTW... Whitaker was the only common opponent DLH fought before Trinidad did.
The others were used up corpses that Trinidad had finished off before DLH got to them, which gives me a new name for Fishnet Boy..... The Vulture.
Camacho
Carr
Vargas
Campas
Mayorga
Did I miss anybody?
Oh yeah..... they both fought Hopkins (DLH later, of course).
But whereas Trinidad got to the 12th round vs. Hopkins, DLH went down on a phantom punch in the most disgraceful acting job in history.
Hall of Fame bound...?
Carr
Vargas
Campas
Mayorga
Hahahaha!
I listed those as common Trindad-DLH opponents.
But I'll just let your post sit there and simmer in its own stupidity.
