Crazy to think that even today they just put you in a box. No coroner or funeral? Terrible way to die and tragic irony. Getting to her in time only to lose her and burial all over again.

They said she may have been in a coma and not died. You would think a doctor could tell. She was in her wedding dress and only 16. the family must have been elated when they saw she was alive only for them to see her die for a second time. Very harsh and sad.
