Ali was fast as hell in his prime, but he stayed outside and did shoeshine quite a bit. Tyson turned everything over but couldn't fight at that range, he was something like 6" shorter and probably at an even greater deficit in reach.
This put it into perspective for me. I would have to go with Tyson, for the mere fact that his punches had all into them and Ali was just a shoe-shine kinda puncher.
