Saddo Poll - Benn or Eubanks

Tough one. Their styles were as different as their personalities. Gun to my head Eubank. I think he did carry a few fights and had a few duds but I think that was so he could show off. His ego was every bit as big as his skills as a fighter. Joe C is my favourite super mid of all time but he did catch Chris near the best before date if I'm honest with myself. Btw Roy was the most talented but didn't really stay long enough to be considered the best ever. Speaking of Roy, there are about 3 people I can think of that may have been able to beat the guy in that 60/68 area and Chris would be one of them. I think its safe to say that the best version of Chris would have shown up for that fight.

I always felt robbed/cheated as a fan and still do that Roy never fought Benn, Eubank, Watson or Collins.
All of them equal in the blame game.

Benn was my favourite - one of main reasons I got into boxing.

I think Eubank had the edge head to head between the two but I think Benn achieved more in his career with wins over more marquee opponents.

I became a big Eubank fan at end of his career though and attended his last three. Met him a couple of times very likeable chap. Unlike Master

I voted Eubanks, simply the best, liked his style a little better than Benn. Benn could be a dirty fighter at times. Eubank had a cool half balding flat-top too.

Loved Nigel Benn, a fighters fighter. Always delivered entertainment and danger and fought as if he hated judges decisions. One of the most aggressive and big hitting fighters I've ever seen ..... and knocked out big names in their back yard.

I've nothing at all against Eubank. Made the most of his talent and one seriously tough s.o.b. Awkward style, and an intelligent fighter in the ring. His purpose was to win, never mind how, so he would mess about, fiddle and stink the joint out if he had to. He never ever turned up in anything less than peak condition, so an excellent pro.

I've met both of them several times, and don't have anything negative to say about their personalities.

One thing; Benn was never a true super middleweight. Look at his relative size to Eubank and others when he fought them. His power was the big equaliser, but he did follow the money and the big fights into a division higher than his natural weight.
