Damon you Rocco, if I hated May I wouldn't have dropped 79 US to watch him. I just expected a little more excitement. Don't take everything as an attack on Floyd, it's a sport, it's fine that you think I hate Floyd but why would I often talk out my love of his defense and jab if he hated the guy. Floyd is one of the best ever, I think he's a prick outside the ring but that could be the persona he projected to bring haters which has served him quite well. A big part off his fortune has come from Floyd haters, you should be thanking them for supporting your boy.
It was a wise decision to project that persona. The guy you want to lose instead of the fan favorite crowd pleaser. If he took that route he may be punchy right now. He protected himself at all times to the fullest, and managed to win fights. Its not fan friendly but look at Ali...end of the day Floyd can enjoy his retirement. I just hope he becomes a trainer and promoter to give back to the sport that has given him so much. I'm not a hater.
The main fight of the card for me was Groves/Badou and I think Groves was lacking a little. His punches lacked snap and accuracy and the poor start didn't help. He had to do more than that and he just couldn't raise the tempo enough. I'm thinking a 3rd loss is making his record look a bit Derek Chisora like now. Maybe he just cannot quite take it to the next level. Back to the drawing board I guess.
Floyd 12-0, easy win against a tough opponent.
And everyone says Floyd cherry picks, but all the so called tough guys at 147 won't fight each other and are taking easy money.

I don't see how anyone could have possibly expected a better fight, honestly? It was made entertaining for the fact that Floyd just can't hurt people any more, and Berto kept coming and forced him to engage a lot. Way better than the Pacquiao fight, and it's because Berto actually fought with pride.
It was a good card and the Floyd fight was better than usual. It's just that Berto was never going to cause any problems. At least someone like Khan might look interesting before he short circuits, or someone like Brook shows technique, youth and equal sharpness, but a Berto on the slide and post injuries was just filler.
