Badou Jack (20-1-1, 12 KOs) soars from ninth to third after winning a twelve round split decision over previous number two George Groves (21-3, 16 KOs). Groves falls to fourth. James DeGale (21-1, 14 KOs) advances a place from third to second. Everyone previously rated four through eight last time shuffles down a spot each to accommodate Jacks ascension.
MIDDLEWEIGHT:
Number two Peter Quillin (32-0-1, 23 KOs) scored a brutal knockout over unrated Michael Zerafa (17-2, 9 KOs) in five rounds. No changes.
SUPER-WELTERWEIGHT:
Floyd Mayweather Jr (49-0, 26 KOs) defended his championship with a twelve round unanimous decision over unrated Andre Berto (30-4, 23 KOs). Mayweather insists that this was his last fight and that he is now officially retired. The Championship becomes vacant. Number three Austin Trout (30-2, 17 KOs) stopped unrated Joey Hernandez (24-4-1, 14 KOs) with a right to the body in round six. Jermall Charlo (22-0, 17 KOs) enters at fifth after he destroyed previous number five Cornelius Bundrage (34-6, 19 KOs) in three rounds. Bundrage was down in round one, round two and twice in round three before the bout was waved off. Bundrage tumbles to eighth. Vanes Martirosyan (36-2-1, 21 KOs) advances from eighth to seventh after winning a ten round majority decision over previous number ten Ishe Smith (27-8, 12 KOs) in a fight he looked to have won clearly; scoring knockdowns in the third and eighth rounds. Smith exits. Jermell Charlo (26-0, 11 KOs) moves up from seventh to sixth while inactive Carlos Molina (22-6-2, 6 KOs) drops to ninth in the reshuffling.
WELTERWEIGHT:
