    And now they have won!

Which is good as long as England win their group as that means no New Zealand until the final, and they always choke outside their homeland in the World Cup...

There are one or two small hurdles before the All Blacks lose to England in the final....

Good point; it is very possible Japan beat New Zealand in the last four!

The anti-English is out of order. We would want the Scots, Irish and Welsh to win if England did not do well.

Well, while your genuine positive feelings towards the Welsh are appreciated, sadly the constant whining and bemoaning that comes from the one-eyed commentary and pundit teams employed by ITV would be far more interested in analyzing every inch of whatever caused England to go out. If England aren't in the final, the entire event will be ruined by the commentators and the pundits talking about England throughout.

If Wales have any fit players left you could get into the final.

and therein lies the problem. I'm Welsh, available for the next five weeks and I have all my arms and legs. I'm fully expecting the call up from Warren Gatland.

I can't believe that after Saturday's fiasco, with some bookies, England Are:
    1. still 2nd favourites to win the World Cup.
    2. Equal favourites to win the group
    3. Favourites to beat Australia
And Australia are backed to not get out of the group!!
Not how I see it, I have to say.

Bookies are just hedging their bets in case England do actually win.

Six good and 6 bad things about the 2015 World Cup so far ........

    - Australia's defence against Wales when two men down.
    - Japan. Also the so called lesser teams being much more competitive
    - Group A. It's about time the group stage became a real part of the knock out stages!
    - Argentina's improvement. They are in the semis totally on merit
    - at least 8 utterly thrilling games (so far!)
    - the spirit in which the players still play the game

    - ITV's very very poor coverage of the tournament
    - Injuries, especially to Wales. 10 players out!!!
    - No Northern Hemisphere teams in the semi finals at a NH World Cup.
    - World Rugby throwing Craig Joubert under a bus and not backing him
    - Unfair scheduling to Tier 2 nations. Japan having a 2 day turnaround between the Springboks and Scotland
    - The disgusting media feeding frenzy when England went out

If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?

England played as poorly as they could, and yet still all but beat a Wales team playing as well as they could. Australia are not the force they once were; they really have struggled in recent times against Northern Hemisphere teams they play away, so both England and Wales have to fancy their chances.

Also the draw is such that the winners of the group are hot favourites to get to the final.

England were poor, but Wales are awful, but in all fairness to them they've had terrible injury problems. England dominated the Scrums and line outs for the first hour and should have had the game sewn up. You can't win World cups like that, nor top groups, and if I'm not mistaken, if teams are level , it goes on head to head results.so there's no guarantee of topping the group even if they win Saturday.
And if they come second in the group, the likely route is South Africa , followed by the All Blacks.
Btw, Australia beat the All Blacks about a month ago and didn't look too shabby then.
