    Even though he played for the evil Yankees, I always like the guy. Actually he was almost traded to the red Sox

    It's true, the yanks were willing to trade DiMaggio for Ted Williams. The red Sox were willing to make the trade but in the last hour the Sox wanted them to throw in Yogi. The yanks backed out, the rest is history.
