Supporting British Steel should be the priority of the government. The impact this will have on the community and future generations will be huge otherwise.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Sorry to hear that. My father was a metallurgical scientist here in the US so at a young age I was privy to the industries woes here in the US. In the end my father spent most of his time in Asia overseeing production of metals there as so many us companies set up shop in that part of the world. Companies that had been manufacturing here since the 1800's were now in Thailand and the like. China is now the world's largest steel maker, here in the US something like 80 percent of steel is recycled. In addition, I lost some money on shares of US steel, bastards.
British steel, did you honestly think it would last til today? Just look at the quality of their cars![]()

1.700 jobs that's a real shock for that community, my heart goes out to those people Tory twats
no friend off the working man for sure.!!!!!!!
Another triumph of globalisation. We need Donald Trump running things, no more foreign steel then. He'd sort all those Syrian economic migrants out as well.
The plant shut down twice under the last Labour government. It was the Conservatives who came up with the deal for the current owners to buy iy.
Just reflexively slagging off the Conservatives is a bit pointless. Labour, when they're in power, are no different at all. Not so you'd notice anyway.
