Sorry to hear that. My father was a metallurgical scientist here in the US so at a young age I was privy to the industries woes here in the US. In the end my father spent most of his time in Asia overseeing production of metals there as so many us companies set up shop in that part of the world. Companies that had been manufacturing here since the 1800's were now in Thailand and the like. China is now the world's largest steel maker, here in the US something like 80 percent of steel is recycled. In addition, I lost some money on shares of US steel, bastards.
