Bullshit!!! Joe himself told us that Ali did apologize for what he did to him. Joe understood most of it was purely hype but the thing that bothered him most was his kids being teased saying their Daddy was a Gorilla. Ali had silly names for every one of his opponents The Mummy, The Rabbit, The Washerwoman etc it was part of Ali's charisma.. He himself was called The Louisville Lip.
