Do not box people bigger than you or people who have alot more experience than you if they are not going to control their punches. The more you get hit hard the easier it is for you to get knocked out. Don't put your self in that situation at your age. Box with people your own age and weight and do light to mid sparring. Only bang when you have a fight. In a fight you will only be matched with people who are similar to your weight, age, and experience. Once you get the right sparring you can work on your timing. One tip I can give you right now is to follow your opponents head with your jab to gauge his distance. Stay out of punching range until your ready to punch. When you get in range do so punching and slipping. Do not stand straight or your partner can hit you back while your throwing. Remember get safe sparring.
