Never a truer statement made on the sport. We are all Monday morning quarterbacks but indicting a guy like Duran's career or anyone else over one fight is simply unjustifiable. Great fighters quit for a myriad or reasons that we fence sitters who lay wait and in judgment fundamentally have NO understanding of at the level we are scrutinizing from our keyboards at work or in our living room. We all do it and again really have no comprehension of what they go through. Besides in Durans case he just beat the guy six months earlier. I'm not even sure why "quitting" or admitting you have had enough is such a pariah given the nature of the sport?
Strange, you didn't have an ounce of empathy for Vitali.

"I'm not even sure why "quitting" or admitting you have had enough is such a pariah given the nature of the sport?"

Yeah, I agree with that and always have. Every fighter should be allowed to quit without facing a firing squad. Some, can't or will not quit, and I respect that. Some quit, when it seems they could fight on, and I respect that too.
Sometimes, I'm even temporarily frustrated when they quit but then I remember it's about them and not me.

Where did I not show any empathy for Vtali? He quit or it certainly could be argued that he did and not once did I call him what you called Duran or indict his entire career because of it.
Honestly, I was trolling for ruthless rocco. Check out his last post in the thread 'Master doesn't realize Chris Byrd did not make Vitali quit' where he posts 'Klitschko=Bitch Pussy'. He was too smart to take the bait or at a Halloween Party.

In that same thread you posted, 'It was also Vitali who asked for the towel.'
True but no empathy for Vitali.

Also, 'The case could be easily be be made that the official RTD result should be changed to a TKO.'
No empathy for Vitali, inflammatory, plus a cold day in hell before that RTD ever gets changed.

Then you went on to praise the courageous efforts of Chavez. 'Chavez lost a shoulder to the same injury and blew out a knee against Morales and he finished the fight even having his moments with one arm.'
No empathy for Vitali plus implying Vitali isn't the man he should be.
