I'm pretty sure buddy McGIrt had an ear infection going into the meldrick Taylor fight which affected his performance.

I thought it was like a bicep/shoulder injury. Too lazy to check.

The shoulder injury was against Sweet Pea which is why they had a remtach. I think he retired eventually because of that problem.
