I think Yusaf should just swallow his pride, and move forward. Sure.... he's just slid down a few notches on life's totem pole, but it's not the end of the world. He should keep a stiff upper lip, and plunge ahead into life's new challenges. It's not going to be easy for him to keep a good head on his shoulders, but he's got to remain ready for what's coming. He might have a hard time dealing with some of the problems that may rise up... but there's no problem that can't be licked if you plow into it. You can't solve all problems at once... sometimes you have to reach for the low-hanging fruit.

Maybe I did too many drugs when I was younger and it fried my brain but did you deliberatly use the words - swallow, pole, stiff, lip, head, coming, licked, plow and fruit to describe this story.

You forgot plunge, hard, rise up, and hanging.

Crazy when you think about it, Orlando Cruz comes out and is thrown parades and main stream praise. Mack just mangled it with writing a book and lawsuit BS and panicked after a part of his personal life is revealed. Forced out really and thrust into the pubic eye?

Was Trainer Monkey his mystery trainer/poster? I thought it was Dan Birmingham...well anyway he was shit soon after. Gatekeeper material though. Who gives a shit if someone is gay anymore, I think about half America is nowadays. The forefather of gay boxers will always be Emile Griffith he was gay back when it was a certain end to your career and or getting fucking lynched.

Was bored and watching some 15-minute doc on HBO about Canelo before the Kirkland fight. At one point the HBO crew interviews Kirkland and pretty much asks him about the pressure he plans to put on Canelo. Kirkland, bless his soul, pauses and says: "I want to be so close to him it's gonna seem like we're f*cking."

At that point, I smiled and thought how this type of comment would've affected Yusaf had he been the opponent.
