Putin has hit quite a few ISIS targets. From which source have you heard he is not? He appears actually to be bombing BOTH ISIS and "freedom fighters" against Assad. Putin of course knows there is some terrorist backlash like with that passenger plane.

I agree Russia has focused most of its involvement in Syria on hitting rebel targets to shore up territory for the regime. but now that Russia has apparently been provoked by ISIS it might be forced to hit back. wouldnt you say? And why would ISIS attack Russia if Russia has not bombed them? If Russia is bombing the "rebels", ISIS would be happy, right?
