This thread shows indisputably why GGG is better.

Right now there is no question that Manny is best and in a class of his own, but let's ask this question again after GGG fights and wins belts in 8 weight divisions. Heck, I'd say GGG is the best then.
You guys are trying to compare a circle to an octagon, they look similar but aren't! IMO, of course.
The hype for GGG is crazy considering he's yet to beat any genuine world class opponent yet
Well if that's the litmus test then just what were those he destroyed? And after you answer that question then answer this......why do people like Monzon, Hagler and Hopkins still get hyped as super men? Based on the criteria you have used, not one of them fought any real world class middleweight opponents? How is it those 3 routinely get top 5 on Mid all times lists? Nino and a long in the tooth Briscoe were the only 2 real middleweights with name rec Monzon fought and Hagler had Vito and Minter. Hopkins never fought a world beater at middle. Tito was not a middle.
Whats crazy is this ubiquitous double standard regarding Mr. Golovkin.
Manny at his peak was levels above Golovkin I think. Now he's coming off a career defining defeat and major surgery and has announced his intentions to retire on his next fight. Golovkins future is wide open and he's doing nothing but improving. Still lean towards Manny when it comes to mastering the English language though.
Well I've never seen a top 5 list with monzon or Hopkins on it but I would have hagler in my top 5 cause he beat genuine world class fighters and I don't care if they were smaller than him, I would love to see GGG even fight smaller fighters like cotto canelo Lara or even trout but that fact is he's faced very low level fighters so far and people are going a bit over the top with the hype and I personally just don't get it
What Manny did was amazing and until GGG goes up in weight and dominates then he is no comparison.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Pacquiao was amazing with wins over Morales, Barrera, Hatton, Cotto, and DLH. GGG has a long way to go to get a resume like that. I barely know some of these GGG fighters. He needs big fights and hasn't had one approaching his mid 30's.
I've not posted on this thread till now, because quite frankly I think it's a bit daft. Everyone knows I'm a big admirer of GGG, and Pac has gone down in my esteem recently in and out of the ring. However, because these 2 could never possibly have fought each other, the only way we can judge it is on respective achievements. on that basis , it has to be Manny all day long, and you would have to be completely mental to dispute that.
Many has accomplished so much more than ggg to this point. ONce ggg takes on some truly credible threats then we can make a comparison. ONce he starts stepping up in weight and fighting more than cab drivers, then compare.
What does ggg do with JMM? Can he beat him?
Please, that's just silly. At least try to pretend to be objective. Its a shame that he has not had a bunch of famous x-welterweights unable to make weight anymore moving up to establish that name rec. Its to bad that there is no Don King around to force unification because he owns all the players. Facts matter so try to pay attention to them.
