First, welcome to the forum.
Stats only prove other stats exist much of the time. Manny has accomplished a hell of a lot more then the Kazak has but he's had the luxury of fighting in deep deep divisions with lots of name recognition and full of super stars that were willing to fight.
The Kazak is fighting in one division that is shy on name rec and those that have it would rather work in a factory in Bangladesh then fight him. He operates in a division loaded with posers and fake titles that is enabled by the powers at be. Manny could get people (stars) to drop weight as a challenger and pay them 20 million dollars.
They operate/operated on two completely different fields of play.
To the question its almost like asking who was better Armstrong or Burley? If you merely look at the resumes its Armstrong but if you dig deeper and look closely, Burley got frozen out just like Golovkin.
Moore was the only one to escape that crew and it took him 160 fights to do it.
I think Golovkin is a far better all around fighter then Manny based on the eye test but that does not translate into the same fame when you don't get what little star power that is around to the ring. I can also see it the other way. If you could take a Manny to middle and carry with him the exact same tool box I suppose he could win.
