    Q&A: Manny Pacquiao!

Super featherweight superstar and current WBC International champion Manny Pacquiao (42-3-2, 33 KOs) has definitely created a name for himself in the boxing world. "The Pacman," who is known for his incredible hand speed accompanied by his hard hitting blows, is now in for one of the biggest fights of his career. The fight completes the trilogy against the legendary Mexican warrior Erik "El Terrible" Morales (48-4, 34 KOs) at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 18.

Pacquiao who arrived on September 19th in L.A. is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to once a for all, prove that he is the better fighter. Entitled "The Grand Finale," the much anticipated bout is bound to bring nothing less than an action-packed thriller between two of the most fearless super-featherweights in the division. As Manny steps into the Wild Card Gym as early as the 21st to start the rigorous training schedule with Freddie Roach, he is confident and excited about his upcoming bout. Pacquiao spoke with fightnews regarding his training, future plans, and managerial issues.

How confident are you feeling in training for this fight? Are there any difference in training from the first two fights with Erik Morales?

Well, I'm very confident in training for this fight. I start at the gym with Freddie tomorrow and I plan to use the same plan we used to beat him in the last fight.

In your second bout with Morales you used an very aggressive style. In your last bout with Larios you showed versatility in using your boxing skill, technique, and outstanding footwork. Will we be seeing a combination of both in this next fight?

Larios is a very different fighter compared to Morales and that fight was in front of my Filipino people to give them a good fight and make all of them happy. I will still stick to my same plan for the Morales fight.

Erik Morales said that in his last fight he wasn't well prepared as far as weight was concerned. What is your current weight and what kind of Morales are you expecting this time around?

Right now, I'm am at about 136-137 pounds and I'm expecting Erik to be in 100 percent condition. I know Erik will make the weight. Erik is hungry, so I think this is going to be a great fight!

Did you get a chance to see the Barrera-Juarez fight? And if victorious against Erik how soon do you feel a rematch with Barrera will happen?

Yeah, I think it was a good fight and I think I'll definitely fight Marco Antonio Barrera, just not sure when. I think it will be sometime around next year.

An interview with Erik quoted him as saying that he made you famous and recently through the Mexican media saying, that you were a little more than just an ordinary fighter to him. How do you feel about this?

It really doesn't affect me and I don't take it personal. I don't really want to think that I'm a great fighter. To me, I'm just an ordinary fighter but am able to beat the extraordinary and famous fighters in my division.

Rumors have it that you will retire in 2007 and might even get into politics, is this true?

No I'm not retiring next year. I'm still young! About the politics, I will not comment on that for now.

Your contract with your current management will be ending soon. Are you going to be leaving them when it ends?

No. I don't know where that story came about, but none of this is true.

Any predictions of how this third bout with Erik Morales will turn out? Are you seeing an earlier victory via knockout this time around?

Well I'm not going to say anything for now but I am sure that I am going to give a good fight and make the people happy. This fight is very big for the both of us and we both really want to win this third fight.

YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAHHH! Good decision Manny, I think he saw a lot of potential mega fights in the Superfeatherweight Division. Guzman, Juarez, Valero even JMM if he moves up. Very exciting indeed.

CC to all of you, courtesy of the Pinoy.
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

Pacman is a maniac and he should stay around at least until he has showed signs of slowing down, and he looks like he is a long way away from that.

My mind is scrambled when thinking of these possible match ups, I also like to put Rocky there though poeple may have already written him off since he lost twice to MAB, but hey he is talented. CC to all of yah!
