That said his return with Marquez was a total sham and he and Manny get blame for letting a peak match rot on the vine until they pieced it together and got over on us. It's hard not to laugh when you rag on a guy who beat you and totally schooled your number one pupil as well as Oscar forgetting he was wearing a ski mask and at the scene of a absolute robbery vs Sturm. Just glad he finally admits he lost to Tito because he ran. I am glad Mayweather retired though, also that the sport is better without him and his brand. I hope he didn't let the door hit him on the ass.
I largely agree on the Floyd stuff regarding comp but the thing is, Floyd seems to be judged on a level that other greats never really had to deal with and lets face it my friend, about 75 % of boxing fans would rather see a punch up then a boxing match. The pendulum done swung to far the other way imo because now many people don't even care if either combatant can box. So Floyd gets judged by a multi edged sword. It begs the question, how is it such a boring runner can draw such numbers and why has he been this(insert 2 letter one number combination) leader for the last decade? How come these other guys cant close the gap? What makes him draw while two other safety first fighters in Ward and Rigo cant draw flies to a shit parade? Oscar either lost every big fight he was in or got a gift. I have not watched the fight in a year or so but I think I had Molina beating him. I had Sweet Pea winning and Sturm should have asked to be kissed first.
Another thing that seems to dog Floyd and for some reason dog no other. This concept that he either ducked people or refused to take risks. Not only are those redundant charges but for the most part pretty baseless. Perhaps he could have fought Frietas or Forbes way back when but there are some of those guys for everybody and and many of them never had 4 or 5 guys holding a belt.
There is really nobody that anyone can name that he ducked. Vivian Harris? Margarito? Williams?

Do people really believe that Margarito would have laid a glove on him or even been allowed to crowd and octopus him? And Viv would have been a human pin cushion. Williams could not figure out which weight he was fighting in while Floyd was already the King of the sport. Floyd was not going to fight Williams anymore then he would fight Spence Jr. now. Shane and him could have easily worked things out in that 130/35 area but both were seen by their handlers as the heir to Roy Jones and Shane at one point got a toothache.
In the end I do think he could have reached a little and perhaps unified a division or two and Jordon should have passed the ball more but damn are those two good.
