He is better on his feet than Canelo…………..BUT HIS HANDS ARENT AS QUICK
He is using a Roach gameplan……………….BUT SO WAS PAQUIAO AGAINST FLOYD AND MARQUEZ
He has been in with better than Canelo …………..BUT HE USUALLY LOST TO THEM

Canelo should win because
He is the bigger stronger man ……………BUT HIS FEET ARE SLOW MOVING AROUND THE RING & HE CANT PUNCH ON THE MOVE
He is younger and fresher……………BUT HE FIGHTS AS IF HE IS PRESERVING HIS ENERGY DUE STAMINA ISSUES.
He should be able to absorb more punishment in a war ………..BUT IF COTTO ISNT DRAGGED INTO A WAR THEN HE’S IN TROUBLE.
He did better against Trout than Cotto did ………………….BUT COTTO DID BETTER THAN CANELO DID AGAINST FLOYD
He’s got a Mexicans heart and wont run like Cotto did in his losses to Marg and Pac ………… HIS HEART DIDN’T HELP HIM WHEN FLOYD AND LARA BOXED RINGS ROUND HIM.

Good, if flawed, analysis.
I'll provide my own.

Canelo should win because

He's a natural 160-pounder or above.......... REGARDLESS OF HIS TRYING TO SQUEEZE HIMSELF INTO THE SMW DIVISION
He hasn't been in too many wars, despite his 47 professional fights............ THAT'S BECAUSE THE BULK OF THESE FIGHTS WERE AGAINST INFERIOR OPPOSITION, AS CANELO WAS BROUGHT ALONG VERY CAREFULLY, TO SAY THE LEAST
He's 10 years younger than Cotto, a definite advantage in boxing.

Cotto should win because

He's a much better boxer than Canelo
He adapts to change a lot better than Canelo.......... AS SHOWN IN MANY FIGHTS, MOST NOTABLY ONE OF THEIR COMMON OPPONENTS, FLOYD
Cotto's quality of opponents is head and shoulders above Canelo's
Ridiculous claims about his heart............... EVIDENCED BY THE MANY WARS COTTO'S BEEN INVOLVED IN, INCLUDING NOTABLES LIKE RICARDO TORRES AND ZAB JUDAH

I'll go with Cotto inside the distance, probably the 10th round.
