7-5 for canelo. Weird fight. Cotto dictated the pace yet the size advantage was very obvious. Close fight but I think canelo won.

Alvarez doesnt seem the most powerful puncher. He really loads up and tires himself and cant punch comsistantly through the round because of it. Its a shame because he puts some nice combinations together but that split second it takes him to throw the shot harder allows the opponent time to prepare. He needs to loosen up and not load up and he would be a better fighter. He also doesnt cut off the ring, just gladly follows round with no urgency.

He won but it wasnt exciting or impressive as it should have been.
