I got to say though i did not see Avarez boxing this well i mean his defense was something else he was dodging most of of punches and doing most of the fight. Also batman i had no idea he dyed his hair or maybe that is a joke and i am not getting either way Alvarez won easy anyhow.

The scorecards were dreadful. I thought it was a fight of two halves and as a result was pretty even. Cotto started better with more activity and sharper boxing, whilst Canelo came on in the second half. Canelo was bigger and landed the harder shots, but Cotto outboxed a bigger stronger man in the first half.
1. Cotto
2. Cotto
3. Alvarez
4. Cotto
5. Alvarez
6. Cotto
7. Cotto
8. Alvarez
9. Alvarez
10. Cotto
11. Alvarez
12. Alvarez
Draw.

First things first. Canelo won the fight, and my congratulations to him and his team. He fought well enough to win, although I thought the scorecards were excessively wide. Still.... he did a great job, and my hat's off to him. He also spoke very well during and after the fight. He's got a great future ahead of him, provided he keeps his discipline and fights at the weight he's meant to fight.
No regrets from Cotto's effort, though. He fought his heart out, and did the best he possibly could. It turns out I was right. The size, age, and power difference were just too much to overcome. Cotto outboxed Canelo in several rounds, hence my opinion that the judges were, albeit predictably, very unkind to him.
Cotto has nothing to hang his head about. He lost to a bigger, stronger, younger, up-and-coming fighter in what to me was a great fight. If he were to walk away from boxing at this point, he's had a spectacular HOF career and has nothing left to prove. Cotto haters are elated, of course, but hey you can't win them all. I was happy with Cotto's effort, but willing to accept the defeat.
Thanks Freedom!!!!
Mayweather taught these two well. Very defensive fight by both. 8th round was the only standout round imo. All Canelo. I had it 6-4-2 even. Canelo.
9/10 really hard to score.
Bad advice from Roach in the championship rounds. but..based on the score cards it wouldn't have mattered.
Solid jab per Cotto, but nothing else. Canelo best asset imo was using the center of the ring as a basis for his work.
He didn't cut the ring off BUT!! He didn't chase/follow Cotto. He kinda... would step back toward the center ring which allowed him to just simply turn to compensate for all of Cotto's movement.
Canelo was ready to trade, but Roach and Cotto wanted none of that.
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!
The defense i am seeing from this guy is getting better every time i see it i mean he is still so young not sure he has even peaked yet. GGG is going to be hard fight but Canelo can box has a great chin and has the enough power to back him off going to be a great fight if it happens.
