    Tyson Fury wins the World Heavyweight Championship

    HEAVYWEIGHT:


    Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) previously third climbs to the top of the mountain by winning a twelve round unanimous decision over defending Champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs). Klitschko is now rated number one. Alexander Povetkin (30-1, 22 KOs) and Deontay Wilder (35-0, 34 KOs) shuffle down a place each to second and third respectively. Number eight Carlos Takam (33-2-1, 25 KOs) won a eight round unanimous decision over unrated journeyman George Arias (56-15, 42 KOs).

    LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT:

    Eleider Alvarez (19-0, 10 KOs) previously eighth switches places with Isaac Chilemba (24-3-2, 10 KOs) after winning a close twelve round majority decision over the South African.

    SUPER-MIDDLEWEIGHT:

    James Degale (22-1, 14 KOs) advances from second to first after winning a close hard fought twelve round unanimous decision over determined fringe contender Lucian Bute (32-3, 25 KOs) in a fantastic fight. Arthur Abraham (44-4, 29 KOs) drops from first to second.

    SUPER-WELTERWEIGHT:

    Number two Erislandy Lara (22-2-2, 13 KOs) destroyed unrated Jan Zaveck (35-4, 19 KOs) in the three rounds. Number five Jermall Charlo (23-0, 18 KOs) scored a fourth round stoppage over unrated Wilky Campfort (21-2, 12 KOs). No changes.

    LIGHTWEIGHT:


    Yuriorkis Gamboa (24-1, 17 KOs) is scheduled to fight on December 19. Although Gamboa had scheduled this bout within the given time-frames his inactivity occurred during a crucial period within the division when others were making their moves. Gamboa slides from fourth to seventh. Denis Shafikov (36-1-1, 19 KOs), Jorge Linares (40-3, 27 KOs) and Terry Flanagan (29-0, 12 KOs) all advance a place each to fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

    FEATHERWEIGHT:

    Number eight Simpiwe Vetyeka (28-3, 17 KOs) shock of some ring rust with a fourth round knockout over unrated Rodolfo Puente (16-2-2, 12 KOs). No changes.

    SUPER-FLYWEIGHT:

    Number two Carlos Caudras (34-0-1, 26 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over unrated Koki Eto (17-4-1, 13 KOs). Number eight Arthur Villanueva (28-1, 14 KOs) won a twelve round split decision over unrated Victor Mendez (19-3-2, 15 KOs). No changes.

    FLYWEIGHT:

    Last week’s number five Moruti Mthalane (31-2, 20 KOs) exits due to inactivity. Everyone rated six through ten moves up a notch each. Felix Alvarado (21-2, 18 KOs) enters at number ten.

    LIGHT-FLYWEIGHT:

    Yu Kimura (18-2-1, 3 KOs) crashes the ratings at number five after upsetting previous number two Pedro Guevara (26-2-1, 17 KOs) by twelve round split decision. Guevara plummets to sixth. Paipharob Kokietgym (32-0, 25 KOs), Javier Mendoza (24-2-1, 19 KOs) and Ryoichi Taguchi (22-2-1, 9 KOs) all move up a place each to second, third and fourth respectively, whilst everyone rated six through nine last week drops a place. Last week’s number ten Ganigan Lopez (26-6, 17 KOs) exits. Milan Melindo (33-2, 12 KOs) now number ten won a ten round split decision over unrated Victor Emanuel Olivo (9-1, 4 KOs) in a Flyweight bout.

    MINIMUMWEIGHT:

    Number three Wanheng Menayothin (40-0, 15 KOs) scored a ninth round stoppage over unrated Young Gil Bae (26-5-1, 21 KOs). No changes.

    Jesus Marcelo Andres Cueller (28-1, 21 KOs) advances from tenth to ninth with a twelve round unanimous decision over fringe contender Jonathan Oquendo (26-5, 16 KOs). Inactive Robinson Castellanos (21-10, 13 KOs) slips a spot to tenth.

    FLYWEIGHT:

    Number two Amnat Ruenroeng (17-0, 5 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over unrated Myung Ho Lee (19-5-1, 6 KOs). No changes.

    LIGHT-FLYWEIGHT:

    Number eight Flyweight Moises Fuentes (23-2-1, 12 KOs) enters at sixth after winning a hard fought twelve round split decision over fellow contender Francisco Rodriguez Jr (17-4-1, 11 KOs). Pedro Guevara (26-2-1, 17 KOs) and Rodriguez Jr move down a place each to seventh and eighth respectively. Alberto Rossel (34-9, 13 KOs) previously eighth exits as he is campaigning at Flyweight.

    Moruti Mthalane (32-2, 21 KOs) is back in the ratings at number five after returning to the ring for the first time in over a year with a ninth round stoppage over unrated Renz Rosia (12-4, 6 KOs).
