    Default Lara vs golovkin

Picks here? I'd love to see it. You'd have to go for golovkin I think bearing in mind how Lara was caught vs angulo but still he's a masterful boxer on his day.

He mentioned Alvarez 2 or golovkin at middleweight last night.... Would pay to see the golovkin option happily

I'd pick golovkin by stoppage but it wouldn't shock me to see Lara outbox him until that point or even for Lara to win On points

Would like to see the fight as Lara is a difficult fight for any fighter, but I think GGG is a very good boxer himself and does have better power. GGG by UD or late stoppage.

Lara is a pretty good fighter but as you said, angulo was able to catch him a few times and really hurt him. Even against Canelo who is a much lesser opponent, he held on a lot because of fear of getting hit. I could see Lara maybe lasting the distance by just holding most of the time but I think in reality its an easy KO for GGG.

Not that interested in the fight. There are other middleweights I would much rather see GGG face.

Laura is a charlatan, like Floyd Mayweather maybe he can run around the ring for 12 rounds and GGG will miss him and it'll just be a ridiculous match of punching and running all night long kinda like when Mayweather fought Pacquiao

Lara should have a go with one of those fake champs first. Challenge the victor or loser of Jacobs vs Kid Ovaltine.

The matter in which Golovkin destroys his opponents overshadows all his other attributes. His boxing ability is overlooked just like as was the case with Hagler and guys like Duran. His ability to use the ring is outstanding only he does not use it like say a Floyd or Lara from a dfensive posture. He's on a seek and destroy mission and cuts off the ring better then anyone I've seen in years. One punch ko power backed up by exceptional boxing ability, feet and an incredible boxing brain. Having that Kid Gavilan chin is a bonus.

Lara be needing a 30 foot ring.

I would like to watch the fight only because it will take someone with Lara's style to beat GGG at 160, and I would like to see GGG deal with that kind of challenge. I see GGG a winning and agree that his power and destructive knockouts overshadow his textbook technique and fundamentals. I see Lara doing well early and GGG cutting of the ring effectively to score the late round stoppage. Only real threat I see to GGG is if he goes up in weight vs Ward, Kov...etc.

Can't agree, his in and out sharpshooting will give fits to anyone he fights. I think he might have solved his main problem in this last fight. Jump on them early and hard, before they can detect a pattern to his madness.

I think you are underestimating GGG's boxing IQ as he controls the ring well when he has to. Anyway I'm one person who would like to see them fight.

For all the reasons you stated, I too would like to see the fight. It's a respectable fight and even the GGG haters would have to give him credit if he worked out Lara, who is a skilful fighter.

That would be a great fight hard to pick a winner GGG always looks great but Lara is a slick boxer who's been in with much better opponents. Think I would maybe just slightly go with GGG but wouldn't be surprised is Lara just outboxed him for 12

Not sure if you mean Lara has had better opponents than GGG has had , or That Lara has had better opponents than GGG? Either way, I don't totally agree.

I'm surprised that anybody thinks this would at all be a close fight. Lara has always been pretty good but he has struggled with less than great fighters on multiple occasions. He isn't a bad fight but he would have to go up in weight for this fight and he has proven to have problems dealing with pressure and his chin seems suspect. I see no way how Lara even makes this fight competitive.

Lara has the natural skill and style to give anyone problems but as impressive as he was blowing out Zaveck, I have a hard time seeing that transition into lasting with Golovkin. Mentalities change when you stand in two way traffic and Golovkins jab and short right down the middle would keep Lara reacting and wishing he entered the ring with a riot shield. He'd be throwing snowballs at a tank here.

Lara is with Haymon. He can't face Canelo or GGG so that's why he calls them out. He should be trying to get the Jacobs/Quillin winner in the ring, but instead he challenges people that aren't in his league. It's annoying.

Lara looked great but it was against 39 year old Zaveck.

He ran from Canelo n should have edged out a decision IMO.

He would run from GGG as well. It'd be a shit fight n probably look a bit like Oscar vs. Bernard up until GGG caught him.
