drinking alone on the worst possible night of the week, why do I always do it???

I have only recently started a new job, its ten times better than where I was before, it is still work though, whatever way you look at it I would still prefer to be sat at home scratching my bollocks eating a big orrible bacon sarnie whilst watching my man Jezza of the Kyle, but work aint all that bad.

The most annoying thing is that I'm hammering a good bottle of rum that cost me £40

What brand rum is it and what size bottle.
Surprising a bottle of rum would be so expensive over there.

back then it was a bottle of Mount Gay, decent stuff but not the best I've had, and £40 a bottle isn't all that much, jesus a bottle of Kraken will set you back £30

I can't complain though, its like the budgie.

I only realised that its christmas now though, that means I've gotta stock up on a couple of bottles of gingerbread rum from Marks & Sparks, thats some good shit especially for the price

Never had Mount Gay, but £40 is roughly equivalent to about $60, and that's ungodly expensive for a good bottle of rum. Caribbean rum goes for far less than that, and you've got some vintage, aged stuff that'll be sure to tickle the palate.

Don Q Gran Añejo: a bit under $50. Vintage Puerto Rican rum.

I'm not a Captain Morgan fan myself, unless I'm looking for a flavored rum, or for some mixes.
But I can understand why rum would be expensive over there, as it's not produced anywhere near your area.
