Wlad deserves a rematch whether he looked bad last night or not. It just boggles my mind at how fast people write boxers off. It displays a total lack of reason given the object of the game.

At any rate I'm no fan of punch stats and only consider them accurate at all is in extreme cases. For example in Ike vs Tua, they each threw close to a thousand punches. Does it really matter or say anything different if it was actually only 800 a piece after closer examination?

And then there is Briggs vs the White Poodle. The other extreme. I cant remember the stats. I dont think they posted them cause it came up in the negative Probably 50 each over 36 minutes. Nothing changes if it was in fact 60.

Unfortunately, the output last night was very similar to the neutering which was Briggs/Poodle so a rematch might be hard on the eyes. I cant recall the round but there was one at least where Wlad only threw 2 punches and Fury about 5. Unless the people on the punch clickers were sitting by Lapdog or the Sky crew the numbers have got to be pretty dismal.

Wlad needs the rematch and is entitled to it after the stretch he has put in and I think Fury is great for the division but will be a flash in the pan. Last night was a freak occurrence and his approach and style was perfectly gamed up for Wlad. I still think he loses to lessor opponents for style reasons and gets trounced by guys like Povetkin and Joshua. Hell Briggs might kick that ass.
