If one tribe allied with white devil settlers and that tribe's enemy said "fuck that, let's kill them all" and there was constant fighting during which key people (who may have known how to cure European diseases that the settlers brought with them) were killed and given the fact the settlers had guns against the Indians' bow and arrows or what have you......then yeah, a shit ton of Indian deaths both of the peaceful and bellicose kind would be the end result.....c'est la guerre miles
