Selby- Diamond in the ruff this kid. Power is not imperative but he looks like a guy that should have more of it. Skills pay the bills though and he's pretty savvy in that ring. Pretty deep weight area. We want to see the best fight the best and sort it out. Loma, Cruz(assuming he does not go back down), Russell Jr, whoever. Its another fairly good div that seems dormant.

Frampton-He's in the top 3 to 5 of his division I believe but he kind of hangs his face in front of his body and he has not looked like the same guy as he was pre Martinez. He looked a little befuddled against Gonzalez but in fairness, that kid would trouble anyone in the division. I don't think he gets off the floor twice against Quigg to win on points. I think Quigg gets him in trouble and stops him. I'm pleasantly surprised that they were able to pull this one off. Its got the makings of a great trilogy.

Flanagan-I think he beats Anthony and likewise probably anybody else at 135 presently. He's a big kid and I'd wager he has issues making weight. He might be the toughest guy in the division also but he's beatable too. I doubt Matthews holds out in February but he's a live spoiler fighting in his home town.

McDonnell-I believe him to be the best bantam out there including Payano and Haskins. Not sure how he maintains 118 on that lanky frame but its certainly an advantage. A unification and rematch with Haskins is another natural.

Haskins-I think he's a top 3 to 5 guy and already beat McDonnell once but what he has against him is age. 32 isn't old these days given the activity levels but its a candle burning at both ends weight class. Maybe he's got Jamies number over 12 rounds. Their previous fight was pretty close.

Fury-We can’t downplay what he accomplished but we can’t take it into the stratosphere either. Yes he beat the REAL heavyweight champion but it’s the same heavyweight champion that has been ridiculed for both his legacy and how he attained it for the last 10 years. Yes on paper he’s the heavyweight champion of the world but he most likely gets beat by half of the men Wlad beat because their size and movement won’t be a perfect storm like Wlad was for his body type and style. It’s that simple. If he fought like the guy he just beat, he might beat those shorter busier guys that Wlad did. I don't think he beats Povetkin or Haye. He's as tailor made for them as Wlad was for him. He has the tin but he’s not the best heavyweight. You also have to consider the division itself. He gets bonus points for breathing life into the festivities that’s for sure. That might be the most historic thing about it. Its fragmentation. He says what he means and means what he says and that's refreshing. No party line for this fella. I look forward to see if he's a one hit wonder or not.

A one hit wonder doesnt do what he did to the letter of how people thought he would win. Wlad didnt come in out of shape or underprepared. Povetkin and Haye are done on the world stage. Good name defences they may be for someone but I wouldnt be surprised if both lose before Tyson even has his rematch with Wlad.

Its insane how much Tyson is detested. You all cant stand him so much you think it was a fluke, a one hit wonder! What he did was sublime.

He will also be the only Britain to unify and become undisputed.

Maybe that will be by accident as well?

It's pretty clear the majority of us regard Brook as no.1

Hardly surprising considering he doesn't just pass the skill/talent test he is also one of the major players in the deepest division in world boxing.

I saw that fight, it was just an eight rounder. McDonnell was finishing much stronger (many thought McDonnell won). If you said then that both of them would go on to be "world" champions, with McDonnell being a genuine top 3 in the world, you'd have been mad.
